JULY 4th CELEBRATION
Every year the Ruritan Club invites the community to a picnic at the club building. A picnic lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the fixins is provided by the Ruritan Club. All we ask the community and friends to do is come and have a good time.
VISIT WITH OLD FRIENDS AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS
Anyone who is interested in Sylvatus is welcome to come. This picnic started off as a school reunion for those who went to school at the Sylvatus School and now we continue the tradition.
FIELD TRIPS
Sometimes we even have "field trips". One year we gave trailer rides to folks who wanted to see the beautiful Eagle Falls. One year we toured the historic Lewis Mill. And every year we visit with old chums and make new friends.
This year our community picnic falls on Sunday, July 4th. Generally folks start arriving around 11:00am and lunch is served at noon.
